For the last two years I have been using Google Analytics to receive detailled statistics about the origin and behavior of the visitors of this website. I would like to present some of the numbers in an anonymized form. By that I hope to raise awareness for the massive amount of data collected on each of us while browsing the web.

Summary:

  • 469 Users from 127 cities (22% Darmstadt, 22% Karlsruhe) in 15 counties (90% Germany) on 4 continents (98% Europe)
  • 5 Languages (82% German), 5 browsers (65% Firefox), 7 operating systems (73% Windows)
