In winter 2013 I started to write my Master thesis at Airbus – Defence and Space. I relocated to Manching near Ingolstadt, Germany, for an internship in the aerospace company. The project is a cooperation between Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation (IOSB) in Ettlingen and Airbus D&S.
The topic of my thesis is the recognition of human activities (such as walking, punching, throwing, …) based on video data collected from unmanned aerial vehicles. The project aims to implement a prototype of current solutions as well as research on state-of-the-art topics such as boosting using random forests.
